Psalm 145:3-4 (NLT) – Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise! No one can measure his greatness. Let each generation tell its children of your mighty acts; let them proclaim your power.
Each Sunday, the children begin the service alongside their family and friends worshiping through Scripture, song, and prayer. While we want Sunday morning worship to be a family event, we know it is hard for our younger ones to sit though the message every Sunday.
Children’s Church
Twice a month, when Pastor Larry begins his sermon, children ages 4 through 3rd grade are dismissed to Children’s Church. This is a time for our younger kids to learn about the Bible on their level. After our Bible story, there are a variety of activities such as games, crafts, music, or going to the playground.
Children’s Worship Bulletin
On Sundays when the children stay for the message, a Children’s Worship Bulletin is provided for them to complete. It reflects the Scripture passage or theme for the morning. At the end of the service they can turn in it to the Pastor and from time to time are able to choose a prize or receive a special treat.
Children’s Feature
Once a month, Pastor Larry or our children’s director invite the children up front for a special time in the Word of God. While this is directed toward the children, the adults get to listen in and usually learn a thing or two!
Jesus said in Matthew 19, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.” And he placed his hands on their heads and blessed them.
